Struggling to Hear Clearly ? Get Your Hearing Checked by Experts

A hearing test, also known as audiometry, is a painless and non-invasive procedure used to measure a person’s ability to hear different sounds, pitches, or frequencies. This test helps identify the type and degree of hearing loss, if any, and plays a crucial role in diagnosing hearing-related issues. At Aarohi Speech and Hearing Center, we perform Accurate Hearing Test to assess your hearing health thoroughly.
During the test, you will be asked to respond to various tones and speech sounds played through headphones in a soundproof room. Based on your responses, an audiogram is generated, which visually represents your hearing ability. Our experts ensure that every individual receives an Accurate Hearing Test, helping us recommend the most suitable treatment or hearing device tailored to your needs.

Audiometry is a safe, non-invasive procedure designed to assess an individual’s hearing sensitivity across various sounds, tones, and frequencies. It is the most reliable method used to detect hearing loss in individuals of all age groups—from infants to the elderly. Before the test, we ask patients to avoid loud noises for at least 12 hours, as excessive noise can temporarily affect hearing. A brief consultation with our hearing care expert or audiologist is scheduled before test to understand the patient’s medical history, ear health, and any existing symptoms such as ringing in the ears, dizziness, or hearing difficulties.
To ensure an accurate hearing test, we ensure that the patient’s ears are free from wax blockages or infections, as these can impact the results. We also maintain a testing environment is which is sound-treated room or quiet space for the test to be valid and generate accurate results.
Process for an Accurate Hearing Test
We begin the test with the patient wearing a pair of specialized headphones connected to an audiometer—an advanced device designed to generate a range of sounds across various frequencies (pitches) and intensities (volumes). This setup helps us to conduct an accurate hearing test in a controlled environment.
During the test, we ask patient to listen carefully to a series of tones and respond—typically by pressing a button or raising a hand—every time a sound is heard. This process allows the our expert audiologist to determine the softest level of sound the patient can detect at different frequencies, which is essential in identifying the degree and pattern of hearing loss.
The entire process is safe, painless, and usually completed within 15 to 30 minutes. Results are available immediately and are carefully interpreted by the audiologist to guide further treatment or hearing aid recommendations.

Result of an Accurate Hearing Test
We display results from an audiometry test on an audiogram—a graph that charts hearing sensitivity. The vertical axis of the graph shows loudness in decibels (dB HL), and the horizontal axis represents frequency in Hertz (Hz). This visual representation helps determine the type and degree of hearing loss.
Hearing loss levels are categorized as:
Normal Hearing: Less than 25 dB HL
Mild Hearing Loss: 25–40 dB HL
Moderate Hearing Loss: 41–65 dB HL
Severe Hearing Loss: 66–90 dB HL
Profound Hearing Loss: More than 90 dB HL
Based on these results, our expert audiologist suggest further steps, including medical treatment, hearing aids, or advanced options like cochlear implants. At Aarohi Speech and Hearing Center, we believe that an accurate hearing test is the foundation for successful hearing treatment. With the right diagnosis and expert guidance, individuals can experience life’s beautiful sounds!
